Spotlight on Diversity Initiative 2006

 The Partners for Workplace Diversity recognize diversity initiatives undertaken by organizations in our valley.  All organizations are welcome to participate in this effort.  The purpose is to heighten awareness of what all of us are doing to support diversity competence and to foster diversity of expression and social inclusion.  Spotlighting diversity efforts allows us to benchmark our progress and to continue the networking of best practices. Recognition is given to initiatives that:

 ·        Accomplish a change in attitude or behavior

·        Serve a new market of customers

·        Leverage growth opportunities within the organization

·        Initiate a recognition program for employees who promote diversity

·        Demonstrate a continuous effort toward diversity goals;

·        Initiate new undertakings

 The Partners invite you to suggest initiatives and achievements to be spotlighted as well as venues for spotlighting them.  The annual Society for Human Resource Management’s Conference regularly hosts a “Spotlight on Diversity” program.  We welcome additional  opportunities to feature activities, practices, and policies that impact our community’s efforts to create an inclusive environment and a competitive econonomy.  Recommendations can be sent to
